Photocopy of a handwritten diary in six pages. Eva Bjork writes about migrating from Sweden to Utah in 1884. Also included is a biography of Eva's husband, William Bjork. William migrated from Sweden to Utah in 1868. He worked for the railroad and lived in several places in Utah. He finally settled in Provo, Utah. The author of the item is unknown and the date of its composition is uncertain.

Susan Ellen Johnson Martineau autobiography

Jean Rio Griffiths Baker Pearce diary

Photocopies of a typescript of a diary. Pearce migrated to Utah in 1851. She went by way of New Orleans, Louisiana, and St. Louis, Missouri. She gives details on the trek to Utah. She lived in Ogden, Utah. There is a gap in the diary from 1852 to 1868. Pearce moved to California in 1869.

Tracy writes about being baptized by the first president of the Mormon Church, Joseph Smith, in 1842, his migration to Utah in 1850, his settling in Huntsville, Utah, and his mission to the Indians (probably Shoshoni Indians) at Ft. Supply (near Ft. Bridger), Wyoming. Also included are autobiographies of Tracy's wife, Eliza Ann Sprague Tracy, and his mother, Nancy Alexander Tracy.

She also tells about her various marriages and her life in Salt Lake City, Spanish Fork, Springville, St. George, and Orderville, Utah. She also talks of living in St. Joseph, Arizona.
